Allergy Friendly Certified
Possibly the most efficient means of increasing guest room health standards and simultaneously realising the value of what quickly becomes a demanded commodity, can be experienced within the Allergy Friendly Certified scheme.
Allergy Friendly Certification is typically awarded to only a small selection of rooms within a property. To attain Allergy Friendly Certification, guest rooms must be treated by an approved service provider at least four times per year, in addition to ensuring that cleaning products used by housekeeping staff are non-irritating and free of scents and harmful active ingredients.
Whilst increasing room rates following Healthy Hotels Certification is recommended, Allergy Friendly Certified rooms are designed to be sold as premium inventory from the onset. More than a sufficient number of guests are prepared to comfortably invest 10-20% above regular rack rate for the added mental, emotional and physical relief that an Allergy Friendly room can offer an allergy sufferer.
